Choosing a movie should take less time than watching one.

Ask The Movie was created for the familiar problem of opening Netflix, Prime Video or another streaming service, scrolling through hundreds of titles, rejecting everything and still not knowing what to watch.

Instead of making people browse a catalogue, Ask The Movie works the other way around: you describe the film you want in your own words.

You can be broad — “I want a tense thriller tonight” — or extremely specific — “a psychological mystery made after 2010, under two hours, no supernatural elements, not too depressing and with a proper ending.” Ask The Movie interprets the request and returns a small set of relevant recommendations rather than an overwhelming wall of content.

Each recommendation can be explored through a detailed movie card. Depending on the user’s plan, Ask The Movie can also help with where-to-watch information, interesting facts, additional suggestions and spoiler-aware movie questions.

The service also includes Ask Together. One person creates a shared room, both people add what they feel like watching and Ask The Movie searches for the overlap. It is designed for couples, friends and families who regularly get stuck because everybody wants something different.

Users can save films for later and keep a watched list so future discovery becomes increasingly useful.
